Miguel Angel Parreño

Raised in a household that yo-yoed up and down the economic spectrum, Miguel Angel Parreño grew up in the Chicago suburbs with Latinx ancestry yet never learned Spanish, an experience he captures in his half-hour pilot, COCONUT. On his journey to becoming a writer, he's done everything from working the mailroom at ICM Partners to exposing shady embezzlement schemes at the film school where he was employed. With crazy life experiences and a unique upbringing, Miguel has excelled in translating his history onto the page with extraordinary depth and humor.
